MOBILE FLOOR

THE WORKSHOP
 

The Mobile Floor Training System takes the ground as the first material in contact, displacement and reference in space. It contributes to the development of dissociation and the intention of the movement according to the direction. It builds a type of execution where the muscle « tone » tends to a type of motor coordination in fluidity, continuity and power. The floor prepares the dancer for contact with a second material of less density, much more fragile, more mobile and vertical: the body of the other.

THE ARTIST
 

Vladimir Rodríguez is a Master in Performing Arts (Emphasis Contemporary Dance) from the Higher Academy of Arts of Bogota and Master Pro "Mise en Scène et Dramaturgie" from the University of Nanterre Paris X / France. He is co-founder of the company Cortocinesis and the space La Futilería (Bogotá / Colombia). He is also the initiator of the "Mobile Floor" training system and the study on the theatricality of the "Motor Actor" movement. He works regularly between Latin America and Europe in pedagogy, creation and in artistic collaborations for dance and theater.
